How long does it take to learn to drive? Everyone is different when it comes to driving. Some people hate to parallel park, while others come out in a cold sweat at the thought of a hill start. The same can be said when you’re learning to drive. According to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), it takes most people 45 to 50 hours of lessons to learn how to drive. Your course will include - A DVSA-approved, friendly and experienced instructor. A manual/automatic car that is modern, clean and fit for learning to drive. One to one in car training, driving test car rental charge, fully comprehensive insurance and DVSA Weekday practical test booking fee. If you require, we'll also book you a fast-track practical test, which will take place in the final hour of your course. Why should I take an intensive course? Intensive courses are a fast and efficient way of learning all the skills you'll need to take the wheel. We've already helped hundreds of people to get their licence – see what they have to say by reading our reviews page! Learn more by visiting our crash course guide. How is the course structured? You can choose the amount you drive per day. This ranges from fully intensive (6 hours per day) to semi-intensive (2 hours per day). We’ll try to fit to your schedule as much as possible - so if you work, we have options! What about the theory test? We can arrange your theory for you - it’s just £40. It’ll be booked at least 1 or 2 weeks before when you want your driving course to start. Fee includes full access to our theory revision website/iOS/Android app so you can study at home or on the go. We recommend spending around 15 hours preparing for your theory. Where will the course be? Your course will take place at your local DVSA driving test centre. What is the waiting time for theory and practical test appointments? Average waiting time for theory test is between 3 to 6 weeks and for practical test its between 8 to 12 weeks. Our fast track test booking service gives you the option of sitting your theory or practical test in the next couple of weeks. We book and manage your Theory and Practical Driving Tests from start to finish through our short notice booking service. What is the waiting time for a driving course? Our waiting time is usually between 2 to 4 weeks. Does the DVSA practical test booking fee include the use of a vehicle to conduct my driving test? The DVSA does not supply a car for you to use for the practical test. You’ll need to hire our driving instructors car to conduct the driving test. Our driving test car rental charge includes fully comprehensive driving test insurance that covers test vehicle, test candidate and driving examiner. I don’t know which course is right for me? If you'd like to get the expert opinion of one of our instructors before making a decision, you can book a 1 hour assessment lesson. During this assessment, our instructor will critically assess your driving ability to recommend the best course for you. It’s also our opportunity to show you why many of our pupils pass their test first time and in just 1 week. It’s also your chance to meet with one of our instructors and ask them any questions your may have about our Intensive Driving Courses.
