By booking an intensive driving course with London Intensive – you are indicating that you have read and understood the terms and conditions and that you agree to be bound by them.
48 hours cancellation notice must be given if you decide to cancel your driving lesson.
10 working days notice before test appointment must be given if you decide to cancel your driving course.
Failure to give us the correct cancellation notice will result in you forfeiting course fee.
Each course is for the total amount of hours booked. The total hours of the course booked includes the time required for taking your practical test on the final hour of the course. The total time you book with us includes driving test car rental charge. Additional hours can be booked with your ADI at the agreed hourly rate.
You must pass the legal required eye sight test (20.5m or 67ft). This will be conducted by ADI on the first lesson. Failure to read a vehicle number plate from 20.5 meters will result in the course being cancelled.
If ADI feels that you are not ready to take your practical driving test, due to safety reasons, then you will not be allowed to take your driving test. If this is the case then you will lose your test booking fee and will not be offered a refund. Once driving tests are booked for you they are non refundable. All deposits paid are non-refundable unless we cannot provide an ADI for the week you booked on the booking form.
ADI’s are self employed business men and women and a cancellation of the course leaves ADI without any income for that week once we have already reserved them for you as requested on booking. Courses may be rescheduled for a later date that you can attend at the ADI’s discretion.
Once a deposit has been received, you have a period of 3 months to complete the course from the date you selected on the booking form to begin the course, should we not hear from you for a period of 3 months (e.g if you have lost interest in completing the course) then any remaining deposit is forfeited and test fees lost.
Once the course hours have been organised into the ADI’s diary, If you cancel driving day and it is less than 48 hours from the lesson due date/time, then those lessons will be forfeited and time lost. We cannot rearrange a course once you have agreed the times with the driving instructor at short notice.
If you book additional hours with ADI and then cancel or fail to show, then these lessons will be charged and payable to the ADI at the standard hourly rate.
It is not possible to drive continuously during an intensive driving course, therefore, short breaks will be arranged between you and your ADI.
London Intensive act solely as a booking and administrative agent for ADI’s, who teach intensive and semi-intensive driving courses in the UK. This means that we do not provide any driving courses ourselves and we undertake all our activities on behalf of the individual ADI’s. We are paid on commission off the ASI’s for successful bookings.
A ‘successful booking’ is when we allocate an ADI to the pupil and they both agree on a schedule for the driving course. All courses are booked and based on average learning capabilities from past experience and are a rough guide only. No guarantees can be implied by any advisor or ADI. You should be prepared for extra tuition if it is felt that it is required before you are allowed to safely attend the driving test.
A practical driving test cannot be booked until you have passed the theory test and we have been informed of the theory test pass certificate number.
Practical test availability is subject to tests made available by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). All attempts will be made by us to secure a practical test. If no test slots become available for the final day of your course then you may save a few hours and return on the following week to take your test, once a suitable test slot has been found.
Test centers may be closed on weekends and bank holidays. We cannot guarantee a test for any specific day but normally get one at the end of your course week or early the week after if the test centre is fully operational. Please be aware this may require more of your time to complete the driving course at a later date than you originally planned.
The contract for the intensive driving course is between you and the ADI. Any disputes or claims should therefore be taken up with the ADI firstly and not with London Intensive. We cannot be held liable for any compensation claim from you, nor can we be held responsible for any traffic violation on the part of the pupil or the ADI.
The deposit (initial part payment) for your the course is payable on booking a course to London Intensive which allows us to book your tests in advance, search for a early driving test and reserve an ADI for you, the deposit is not the full balance.
The remaining balance of any course is payable to London Intensive or to the ADI whom is teaching you by the first day of the course. Failure to pay remaining course balance on the first lesson or when requested will result in immediate course cancellation, you will lose the deposit paid. Should you pay the remaining balance to London Intensive then we would only be acting as an intermediary and would transfer the money to the allocated ADI you are paying for the driving course. In the unlikely event that we cannot fulfill your booking and allocate you an ADI, a full refund of the deposit will be made.
In the unlikely event of the ADI’s vehicle breaking down during the course, a refund of the outstanding lesson time and outstanding test fees will be made if an alternative ADI cannot be arranged.
London Intensive and your ADI cannot be held liable for any losses resulting in course cancellation or test cancellation due to any of the following reasons – driving course or driving test cancellation due to bad weather, for example snow or ice, examiner illness, examiner strike. Where possible your ADI will arrange another date to finish the course off in the event of any of the above scenarios.
All courses are undertaken with a Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) registered fully qualified self employed Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). We do not offer shared courses e.g. 2 pupils in the car.
If the DVSA cancels a test for whatever reason, then we cannot be held responsible/liable for the test fee and any lesson time lost, you may need to purchase additional lessons to retake the test. You may be able to claim reimbursement of some lesson time off the DVSA in certain circumstances.
The car provided by the instructor will be comprehensively insured with a reputable insurer. A pupil can request to see insurance documentation from their ADI at any time. London Intensive cannot be held responsible for any insurance related claims. Any disputes are the responsibility of the ADI.
All special offers and course/lesson prices are subject to change without notice and are at the discretion of the company. If a gift vouchers supplied by London Intensive is valid for a maximum period of 6 months from the date of issue. Gift vouchers are to be used by the person, or persons named on the voucher and are non-transferable.
If payments are made to ADI for a course of lessons and the student does not complete the course, then the remaining hours are valid for a period of 1 month. After this time, the lessons and test fees will be forfeited and no refund will be given.
When a student is successful and passes their practical driving test, any unused hours may only be refunded at the discretion of the ADI.
You make us aware before booking of any health issues either mental or physical which may affect your ability to perform as expected on an intensive driving course.
You agree the full course hours and make a note of the hours that have been agreed with the ADI on the initial phone call. If these are not satisfactory please call us at this point so that we can arrange an alternative ADI. If we are notified at the office, once the course has begun that you cannot do certain times and dates, or the instructor cannot complete the course with you in a certain time scale, then we are powerless to try to move the course to another ADI.
You agree to book time off work only once the hours have been agreed in full with ADI who will call you and confirm a detailed lesson schedule.
We advise that you book your lessons in with ADI early to avoid disappointment, if you leave booking your lessons in late or at the last minute as there may not be enough time/hours/availability to book your course in as the ADI’s diaries get booked up very quickly.
You attend your lessons on time. Failure to do so will result in you losing time and the ADI has no obligation in such circumstances to add time to the end of your lesson. The instructor will wait for 20 minutes for a pupil at the agreed meeting point, if pupil fail to arrive at the agreed meeting time/location, and haven’t made contact with ADI, ADI will assume the lesson has been terminated with pupil and move on to another lesson. The ADI is under no obligation to add this time on at the end of the course and the time will be forfeited.
You attend the theory test and practical test on time and take your valid provisional driving license with you. Theory test booking confirmations will be sent via email to the email address you provide for us on your booking form. Failure to attend will result in loss of the test fee and you will have to pay for the next one.
You email or text us with your theory pass number as soon as you pass, so that we can book a practical test on the same day and begin the process of finding you a driving test.
You must not be under the influence of drink or drugs at any time during your course. If we, or a representative, suspect or detect any sign of this, the remainder of the course will be terminated and you will lose all fees paid.
A professional approach is required by the pupil and no abusive behaviour towards ADI will be tolerated. The course will be terminated and any payments made will be forfeited in such an event.
You supply on the first lesson a signed provisional driving licence. If you fail to produce a valid provisional driving licence, the instructor cannot by law permit you to drive a car and accordingly your booking will be cancelled and any fees forfeited.
